Lucky 8 Stir-Fry

This mixed veggie dish draws its inspiration from Buddhist vegetarian cuisine which may include a certain number of ingredients that represent good fortune, wealth, joy, family integrity, and long life. Whenever you feel like you are longing for a Chinese vegetarian meal, this dish can always be a great option to have. Now, let’s not wait any further, pick up your wok and get cooking! 

The ingredients you need for this dish are bean sprouts, shiitake mushrooms, stripped carrot, lily flowers, ear mushrooms, bok choy, snow peas, Shaoxing wine, and sesame oil.

The first important step here is to heat your wok until you see a little bit of smoke. After that, swirl in some oil until it shimmers. Now, throw the vegetables in start with the harder ones. Stir for around 2 minutes so that they don’t get overcooked. Then, pour soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and two tablespoons of water and stir again for a minute. Finally, top with sesame oil and pepper.
